Last week, the BOS-Akademie visited the State Fire Academy in Regensburg. The focus was on presenting the Taktik-Trainer – with special attention given to the new underground parking extension.

The main goal of the visit was to showcase the system in a training environment and run through initial test scenarios together.

Vergangene Woche war die BOS-Akademie mit dem Taktik-Trainer bei der Feuerwehr Göppingen im Einsatz. Anlass war die Premiere einer neuen Erweiterung: Erstmals wurde eine Tiefgarage als Trainingsszenario vorgestellt und gemeinsam getestet.

This past Wednesday, the official handover of a new Taktik-Trainer to the Abtsgmünd Fire Department took place. The system briefing was conducted on-site by Sascha Bollin from BOS-Akademie. During the handover, different setup options and various potential applications of the system were discussed together.

Yesterday, another starter pack from the Taktik-Trainer was delivered to the Stadtallendorf fire department. It consists of a single-family house with a red gabled roof that can be used in a variety of training scenarios, for example to represent different types of residential buildings.

As part of the handover, the functions of the Taktik-Trainer were discussed and tested together with local emergency and command personnel. The feedback was consistently positive, particularly regarding the realistic representation of complex scenarios in both interior and exterior attacks.

Heute durften wir der Werkfeuerwehr der Symrise AG ein neues Mehrfamilienhaus-Starterpaket des Taktik-Trainers ausliefern – inklusive Kellerelementen und einer Satteldach-Erweiterung. Damit lassen sich Einsätze unter realistischen Bedingungen auf mehreren Ebenen simulieren – vom Erdgeschoss bis zum Dachboden.

In addition to the classic residential structure, we delivered special components that transform the model house into an industrial or office building with just a few simple adjustments.

Last Thursday, we delivered the first Taktik-Trainer to Switzerland – and gained fascinating insights into the structure and operations of the local fire services.

What especially stood out to us:

One fire station is often responsible for multiple municipalities – in our case, that includes 5 municipalities with 14 villages, 2 of which are only accessible by cable car.

The fire departments there are often specialized and do not cover all areas of responsibility equally – the unit, Corpo Pompieri Valle Calanca, focuses on firefighting, with a particular emphasis on wildland fire operations.

The images, stories, and equipment related to this topic were especially impressive. When asked, “How many wildland fire operations do you typically have per year?” the answer was, “about 20 days.” Due to the topography, these missions are usually very demanding in terms of time, personnel, and equipment, often resulting in extended deployment periods — sometimes lasting several days.

The fire station, which was only inaugurated in 2016, is already bursting at the seams and is scheduled to be expanded with two additional buildings over the next two years. Currently, the station operates with four vehicles, including its primary response unit – a tanker fire engine (TLF) with a 2,500-liter water tank on a Mercedes-Benz chassis – which is now 35 years old.

This week, we were once again able to personally deliver another Taktik-Trainer – this time to the Stuttgart Professional Fire Department.

Delivered was the “Multi-family house with basement and gabled roof” module, which will now be used in the training and further education of fire officers. With the modular system, tactical scenarios can be demonstrated in a clear and realistic way – whether to prepare for complex situations, support decision-making within the leadership team, or deepen tactical fundamentals.

We are very pleased that another Taktik-Trainer is now being used in practice – this time at ETC Strobel.

The system will be used in trainings, presentations, and consultations on fire protection, prevention, and tactical operations. As an expert in education and training in these fields, ETC Strobel is enhancing its traditional teaching approach with the Taktik-Trainer by adding a practical, visual component.
