Fire departments in Germany: Great responsibility, few deployments
Over one million men and women are involved in 23,977 volunteer fire departments in Germany. Smaller local fire brigades in particular face a major challenge: few real operations make training difficult. Of the 10,994 municipalities in Germany, 7,797 have fewer than 5,000 inhabitants. In these smaller towns, the number of operations is particularly low, meaning that firefighters have to maintain their skills almost exclusively through exercises and training. Knowledge is often based on theoretical training and infrequent exercises - a gap that we are closing with modern training solutions.
Without regular, realistic training, there is a lack of practice, safety and confidence - and this is exactly where we come in.
Why is practical training so important?
Fire departments have to act quickly and confidently in an emergency - but especially smaller local fire departments often only have a few real-life assignments to develop a routine. They are therefore heavily dependent on exercises and theoretical training courses.
But realistic exercises are complex and difficult to organize. Larger exercises in particular, such as the annual main exercises, require extensive preparation and follow-up work. Such situations are often carried out together with neighboring or base fire departments in order to create realistic operating conditions - but the high planning effort poses a challenge for many fire departments. They require detailed planning, personnel deployment and suitable exercise locations - a great deal of effort for volunteers. In addition, many training courses are expensive, quickly booked out or difficult to reach, which makes regular attendance difficult. In addition, the training courses offered at district, state and national level vary greatly. While some regions have good training opportunities, other fire departments face limited or difficult-to-access training options.

Loss of experience due to demographic change
Demographic change presents fire departments with a challenge: experienced firefighters are retiring and young managers have to take on responsibility quickly, often without the necessary operational experience. To counteract this gap, we offer practical training that helps young managers to make decisions quickly and act with confidence.
