Underground Parking Garage – Starter Package
The Underground Parking Garage Starter Package is a complete Taktik-Trainer system designed to realistically simulate an underground parking structure. Featuring parking spaces, narrow access routes, stairwells, and multiple smoke compartments, it recreates the typical challenges of underground parking garage fires in a highly realistic training environment—ready to use without the need for additional modules. For even more training possibilities, the starter package can optionally be combined with the Multi-family home , allowing scenarios such as smoke-filled stairwells or rescues from an adjacent building to be practiced as well.
Why Underground Parking Garages Present Unique Challenges
Underground parking garage fires are among the most challenging incidents firefighters face. Limited visibility caused by smoke, confined access routes, and difficult communication below ground make coordinated operations particularly demanding. The Underground Parking Garage Module for the Taktik-Trainer allows these conditions to be practiced in a realistic training environment—without real-world risks, but with maximum training value.
Typical Trainings Scenarios
- Vehicle Fire: Tactical response to a passenger vehicle fire involving smoke development and limited visibility in confined parking areas.
- Smoke-Filled Stairwell: Training orientation, communication, and tactical decision-making when escape routes and access points are obstructed by smoke.
- Rescue Operations: Search and rescue of occupants under challenging conditions, including the use of a smoke and heat exhaust system (RWA).
Smoke Control and Ventilation
The module is equipped with two smoke and heat exhaust (RWA) units. Combined with the included positive pressure ventilation fans, a variety of smoke control and ventilation strategies can be practiced and evaluated directly—making it an ideal training environment, especially when used together with the Miniature LUF.
